Nice film that,just a shame about the acting.....

Anyone know if the young lad Casper went on to do any other films ?

casper was welsh..dont think he did out else in film..

his brother [jud] played in corro..

Kes was probably the best film ever to come out of the north... shit..it was filmed practically on me doorstep. just loved the line "it came fetty fotty yards streyt t gluv sir" atb stabba

Quality film. Ken Loach told David Bradley that he would have to kill one of the 3 kestrels used in the film for the final scene, But he had grown so attached to them that the final scene is David Bradleys genuine anger and sadness at the kestrel being killed. But........After the scene was shot he ran down the farm were they were kept and found all 3 kestrels still alive, They had used one that died of natural causes. Nice bit of trivia for you there, and a smart move by the director haha.

Interesting.....so they played on the boys emotions to get a better scene.....very smart....he should of kicked them in the bollocks for that one :D

haha, Well as long as it didn't do any long term mental damage. It is one of the best scenes in the film though, You feel every emotion he does when you watch it, You want to rip Juds bollocks off and feed him them.
