dew claws on or off

my dog has been laid up for a while dew to ripping one i was thinking about getting them taken off to save the hassle just wondering if anybody has had them removed on a adult dog and how much it cost and how long they are laid up for thanks

dont know about adult prices, but if it were my litter i would have them taken off straight away

i got my 2year old bitches taken off after she ripped 1 and it was £90, best thing i ever did no problems since . now if ever getting a pup i will always make sure they are already off to save the hassel and £90

My vet will charge around £85.00 for both claws, and id definatly say get them OFF

Most people will take any dew claws off when they are pups. Adult prices as you can see will vary from vet to vet.

I am definately in favour of them off, saves a load of hassle.

all of mine have them but if i had a litter i would have them off, touch wood i dont seem to get ant dew claw problems (Barbed wire is another issue)

Have had my dogs dewclawed since having probs a while back, can save lots of hassle in the long run. The Whippet I have now was done as a pup luckily.
