Recommended Posts

Hi could anyone give me some advice on fishing lake windermere. I will be fishing the lake later this week for a couple of days mainly on a boat piking but what other species does the lake contain besides perch and char. Any help with lures /baits/methods would be much appreciated. thanks

Thanks for the advice fellas i've just had two great days on lake windermere mostly trolling lures. I tryed a large selection of lures in different sizes but by far the best were the rapalas. The most productive areas were at the north end of the lake using jointed rapalas in size J11 in ether fire tiger or silver and black. The best day was friday when i caught 8 pike up to 14.5 lbs /1 trout at 3 lbs and a perch at about a pound. Its a great place to fish and i can't wait to go back. ps Plenty of pubs and bars too. Cheers

I wasn't preaching i dont think you can beat live baiting. Pike just can't resist em.

Yes sunrise and sunset are EXCELLANT

alot of waters have banned livebaiting  although ive accidently done it a couple of times with fish appearing from the pond in my garden 3 miles away on my snap tackle ;)
