Spotted this earlier just before dusk ... not seen one before & a moody sky :)

 

 

 

 

nice pic kay of the turn kay ,used to see loads round us but dont see so many any more :)

 

i have never seen one before i thought it was a big swift :laugh: :laugh:

Hi Kay, Although it looks a little like an Artic tern i think that there is a good chance that its a Common Tern. :victory: Nice pic...

 

Awww you always tell me i am wrong so nicely :kiss: :laugh: :laugh: well it was a toss up between the 3 terns i looked at & i hummed & arred & got it wrong :laugh:

 

i will get better at bird id's as i go along :thumbs:

I could be wrong, it MIGHT be an Arctic, but the common terns are the ones that seem to travel to inland waters, from what i have heard. So you might be right... :victory:

 

It did say that the artic ones come inland but not normally this far in .. i will have a look on the local wildlife website & see if they have one recorded for the area .. they dont usually miss a thing if its about :thumbs:
