i need ideas on kennals do they need insulating for the winter months or will plenty of straw do this would be for two lurchers thanks

 

i inslated my dog kennels with cavity wall insulation, (not the stuff you put in you loft) i think they are called cavity bats but not sure, cheap, £24 to do a 3 kennel setup, rased the beds off the floor and 5 mm ply lined the full kennel after insulating it. toasty in there now!!

KENNELS!!!!

you made your point ... i think the stuff i used was called kingspan from jewsons then lined with chipboard from wickes and then varnished .. Edited by the_stig

thats the stuff stig kingspan most brickies can get it when its spare on site :whistling:

i made mine with telegraph poles for the posts,3/4 ply for the sides i bought a new metal sheet roof 8inch of concreat for the floor and i have a cast iron multi fuel burner in winter to keep them warm,only thing i payed for is the roof,its 1 big hut with 4 kennels inside and 2 33 foot runs at the front.good to have an alotment lol
