any other suggestions to what i could give her to build her back up? chicken or something?

once a week myne get a bit of chopped liver in the evening i dont have an air rifle at the moment so i got a kilo of chicken liver from the butchers for 2 pound, but if your out an about still shooting, offer some hart lungs liver kidney i will be freezing this end of next season to last me through the summer. some nice raw breast meat , a good varied weekly diet including ferret biscuits :thumbs:

meat! raw... rabbit, poultry, game etc on the bone, skin on etc.... perfect for a healthy ferret, keeps em in top nick, miles better than dry biscuit, plus the kits come out and feed off it even before their eyes open.... they cant feed off the bickies til much older. :thumbs: good luck with the litter.

Meat start giving them a young rabbit enough for the jill to feed on and let them have a try and as they get older put in bigger rabbits mine where eating rabbits before there eyes where open

mines were eating raw bunnies before the crawled out nest.if you cant get any bunnies at this time of year,go to asda they sell turkey legs for about 1.50 good feeding for your ferts and the love it.

I hope they all turn out healthy for you mate, silver to silver matings are often riddled with health problems or just generally live a lot shorter. Hope all goes well tho. About feeding - rabbit actually has very little fat and so wont put on much weight, its just protein. So what you need is something with natural fat like birds - pigeon is great. This will add weight. Don't use feral pigeons tho as they are riddled with disease.

the dad is a silver cross polecat but from a line of silvers i have had going since the 90's with no health issues and lived long lives.

well done calisme hope they turn out well, watch the kids fingers in a few week though
