wullieh 53
do the lump feel hard or soft if soft then it be an abcess if hard i think it prob be cancer of the lymp gland, when a ferret gets it there it can be aggresive but can be removed. Quote Link to post

I feel sorry for your ferret fella, but you asked all through the last season, a few of us Kent lads offered but all we got was wasted time. Hope the ferret gets to the vets asap. Quote Link to post
The one 8,479
Just interested to hear if any of the above have veterinarian qualifications? Quote Link to post
wullieh 53
Just interested to hear if any of the above have veterinarian qualifications? Think it more of just a case of people sharing there past experiance with there ferrets, and not giving a complete diagnosis even a vet cant do that on a public forum he would have to see the animal. Couple of things in your post stand out mate. 1,- You fear the worst yet he won't be at the vet untill tomorrow, why not take him to a vet today? 2,-You say you haven't worked him yet as you don't have the "ridiculasly over priced MK3 finder and collars". Yes they are a good bit of kit but believe it or not ferrets can be worked without them. I hope everything turns out alright for your hob mate and the vet will be the best person to give you advice as he is qualified and will get to see and handle it. Quote Link to post

If you can't trust random people on the internet don't ask random people on the internet. You could always meet people with your parents until you know and trust them. I too asked longdog13 when i started and he is one of the most genuine people you could meet and i've made a good friend, simply by asking and turning up when he wanted me to. If you ask and people offer their help its good to take it. Not having a go its just a bit of friendly advice Also, you clearly care for your ferrets so buying a locator for them is a good idea, its always nice to know where they are. Imagine waiting for your ferret, seeing or hearing no signs for a couple of hours or so, having no idea where it is or if its in trouble, then you'll wish you had a locator. I don't understand in this day and age why people choose not to use them!! Theres a reason they are made and most use them 1 Quote Link to post
