Fair enough with the 1st shot but the 2nd seems dodgy :hmm: , you would think the other guy would have got the f**k out of there after his mate dropped to the floor? Not being an expert in this area myself but would there be any noise at this distance?

my mate has just came back from his tour and he said when they were going to the green zone they came under fire and one or our snipers took out 2 taliban and shot anothers turbin off .he said the man whose turbin was nocked off wrapped it back on and carried on walking towards them .he said it didnt even bother him one bit that he just nearley died. so i can belive that the other guys stopped there .shaun

50% of afganistan is above 2000 mtrs of sea level rising to 7000 mtrs in the hindu kush ,

chances are the the shot ..was taken at alltitude somewhere between those !!

Read another article which said it was at around 3,300ft. Think it was the wikipedia article on it. That mentioned that the time of flight was 6 seconds!

the standard zero you do on your rifle over here in good old blighty is no good for foreign climates you have to re zero also the S&B PM11 they bolt aloft are re presured Schmidt & Bender use some thing other than a nitrogen purge because of scope temp in the tube instead of the normal 3ft water test they do it at 10 ft depth also the british army are using an experiment round at the mo which has been developed by a British firm for the american army.
