right lads am no expert on lurchers but would like to no do you all teach you dogs to jump i no most do but would like to no what the pros and cons can be. does it depend on the land you run on

where i am we dont need our dogs to jump its mostly fences ,and i like my dogs to go under them rather than over ,has ive seen a few that have jumped them and got cault up and ended up with some damage to them selfs

Taken this morning, i teach all my lurchers to jump, and control what they jump with the lamp, also know your ground, every hedge, fence and obstacle, if they have to crawl under a fence the rabbits sitting in its hole laffing. My opinion and we all have different ones, all the best WR.

i teach my dogs to jump .even though there's not many fences about but my DOG dog will rarely jump barbed wire fences(had a bit of an accident and nearly lost his tackle)

if a dog can jump properly, it will lower the chance ov accidents

never taught a dog to jump yet,absolutely no reason for it on the land i work,never had to worry about them being loose in the back garden at times either,really is down to personnel pref,but even so do not think its the be all and end all,would not call a lurcher a shite dog because it don't jump,jmo
