Of course there is, as ther is way back in alot of terriers.

But theres bull and theres bull.

 

Ive no problems with someone using game tested bull blood in a line of terriers as and when it is necessary - but I dont agree with people crossing them with showy shite staffys that never see a days graft and their only use is guarding their owners weed stash/bucky/burberry hat.

 

This kind of bull blood would be far more detrimental than beneficial to a line of terriers.

 

 

I guess the owner has to decide whether:-

1 the line needs bull and for what reasons

2 Can this deficit not be introduced from another terrier

3 If the bitch needs to be hardened up that much is she worthwhile breeding off at all

 

 

But to be fair, I doubt the original poster thought about all this and opted for a litter that will look very inpressive in the flesh but produce very limited sucess workwise.

If he can prove me wrong in 2/3/4/5 years time...I will eat my hat

This is the working terrier section...there isn't a section for pet dogs, so obviously this will have to do in the meantime.

i personaly dont use bull in my terriers. my terriers are hard enough and dont need to be tainted by bull blood, in my experiance it makes them mute and a little too hard,when you work foxes as often as i do you cant afford for them to be too hard, getting bashed up only leads to dogs being in kennels injured and rendering them useless.

theres certainly a place for bull in a line of terrier bringing a range of good qualities and improvements look at wheelers stuff, and the aggression one is complete bullshit thats entirely down to upbringing (fact). seems like theres a lot of misinformed opinions surrounding these crosses. own or see a gud un in action before commenting!!!!!!!

i got to be honest i own a pup my self bred tht way and cant wait to bring him on now i have my house and landlord sorted but i think when mine does prove his self if he does in years to come i will put him over a pure bred bitch so i have 3/4 pat 1/4 bull .. but a lot of my friends have the half cross and there are awesome earth dogs ..

 

hope this dont turn into a row just my opinion and my view on my terrier

Jamie when I talk about aggression I mean kennel fights a few lads I know had dogs from K.G. back in the 80s when they were not working they had bad kennel fights dogs and bitches one dog had to be muzzled to be mated I have travelled 600 miles round trip for a lining If more lads did this there would be better lines of pats and Russells with out using Bull Blood

thats purely down to using shite bulls any old dog that looks hard.if you get a good line of bulls there a good attritbute to have

ello lads yh thought tht me self its where me bron in law put it .. i went down yesterday and moved it right away cause i said if he saw a cat or anything and jumped tht he would be hanging .. thanks for the consideration anyways but i have a pic to prove its changed aswell lol
