Deker 3,478
There is no Swindon in Wales, and location clearly states Swindon, and milo appears remarkably quiet!! Natural England do not like issuing licenses to end users any more, they will in the right circumstances but they prefer the landowner where the problem is occurring to apply for the license, not the Pest Control firm! In some cases they insist! Quote Link to post

borderman45 0
Its a very grey area, endagering the public safety is a reason to remove a nest and eggs, if the nest is likely to cause damage to the property ie blocking guttering which could then cause a leak thats another good reason. But still tread carefully as we all know there are a lot of people likely to kick off if they see you do it. My neighbout uses a hosepipe to blast the nest, its quite effective ! The local authorities do not want the aggravation especially if they are in coastal locations, they would have to leave the rats all summer ! Quote Link to post

In one case of a very large national company I am closely involved with, they now refuse to take applications from their Pest Control company and 100% insist on owner applications only! In some cases they insist! Just to clarify my where abouts,im in the valleys of south wales, and the reason im quiet is i have been out on a lambing call early this morning and didnt get back till 12,oclock...and another thing there are a lot of people on here stating they have taken certain game"we wont mention"but to the experinced hunting men know excatlly what they mean,so taking a "dirty meanacing gull with a .22 with the landowners permission"is nothing, and if anybody on here would like to send the authoritys around to my place then please do,i am all above board,to me it seems a lot on here are just computer hunters and dont actully kill anything yes"kill"people seem to be to scared to say or write that word...if the mods would like to take the post off then "be my guest"but i will not, thanks for the advice off everyone its been taken on board Quote Link to post
Marksman 934
Don't think there was any offence intended, not on my half anyway. I was just trying to advise you as you know it just takes 1 undesireable to make our "hobby" worse in the eyes of others. Maybe you should change your location in your profile to avoid more confusion?? Darryl Quote Link to post
davyt63 1,845
I've just noticed your location, Seems the gulls ARE permitted on the GL in Wales Phantom PS Good Shooting. Didn't know Swindon was in Wales though.... Ask Davy if he speaks welsh..... Darryl I was wondering that, perhaps there is more than one Swindon? I was just going by the flag at the side of his post Davy better not speak Welsh, thats nearly as hard to understand as Geordie Phantom "WHY AYE MAN" "ISN'T IT!" Quote Link to post
