festa 206 Posted May 2, 2010 Report Share Posted May 2, 2010 mate please dont take this the wrong way but to be honest i wouldnt bother it will probably cost you more to get it threaded than you paid for the gun ...what might be a better option was when you get the iron sight off try and get a slip over silencer it saves having to thread the barrel is is probably alot cheaper .. the iron sights are either a perminate fixture or probably held in place with a small grub screw atb gary Quote Link to post
Marksman 934 Posted May 2, 2010 Report Share Posted May 2, 2010 mate please dont take this the wrong way but to be honest i wouldnt bother it will probably cost you more to get it threaded than you paid for the gun ...what might be a better option was when you get the iron sight off try and get a slip over silencer it saves having to thread the barrel is is probably alot cheaper .. the iron sights are either a perminate fixture or probably held in place with a small grub screw atb gary what wor kid says mate..... if it has the circular cover on slide it off and if you look just behind the blade there should be a small indentation where you will find a small grub screw, you will probably need to use a precision screwdriver to get into it, undo that then very gently with a plastic hammer or similar tap towards the front of the barrel until it slides off. Phantom 631 Posted May 3, 2010 Report Share Posted May 3, 2010 Or if its held on the same way my foresight was (plastic all around and round the barrel) you can either heat it up and pull it off OR like I did, whatck it with a mallet in the off direction But dont do what I did and let it fly off into my very deep garden fishpond, cuz it sunk and I've not seen it since.
