broody jills

Ive always been aware of my jills quircky and weird behaviour when jills come in season but i have one just now a really dark poley who thinks she is pregnant lol she has built a nest and will fuss around my other jills preening them and only occasionaly will nip the jill iof they venture in her nest,but wow she certainly giving my vas hob a tight time.darts out the nest and nips his face lol really amusing to watch.im suprised he is taking it so well tbh.their weird wee buggers ferts at times!

Alright mate.

 

Had the ferrets out on the last day on Thursday down in Dumfries.

The two Jills you gave me are working great, which im pleased about!

 

Alot of young about and they were just killing and moving on after a while so its all good!

Its on a big shooting estate bud.

Can only get on when pheasant season ends - so I basically start here when i am finished on my other ground :icon_eek:

 

Have to ferret this ground well into July, total summer hunter LOL

Last year was the same for me the jills where fed up of the hobs and kept nipping there face's they had scabs around there eyes i thought it might put them off but they still did there duty and brought them out of season
