puppy prices

Recommended Posts

i think £100 to £150. is a fair price. but again if folk are honest then its between the buyer and the seller. and no one elses business. the last pup i sold was for 80 and i travelled a fair way to meet the lad. as for plummers and there owners. they are the same as any breed. with good and bad owners and good and bad stock. i have a couple of them and they suit me fine. and compare favourably with any other breeds ive seen over the years  its interesting to read the bile that is spued out on this site on one thing or another. most of it shows ignorance or a lack of knowledge all this is off topic and to end if i breed any pups russell or plummer i think i will ask around the hundred/hundred and fifty mark. if i was buying (which i dont need to do now) i would find what i wanted and pay the asking price. as one thing is sure. if its a free or a thousand pounds. there aint no gaurantee with working terriers

Here,s a little spaner in the works. Before i throw the spaner in though, can i just say i agree with the breeding between truted friends and no money changing hands. So that later down the line the favour can be returned and its a usefull way of keeping lines going. But our vets want £55 a pup for docking and dew claws. I had nine pups in my last litter work the cost out of that, what do you do? and no money changed hands.

was supprised reading that mate, with how long they,ve been going now.

Not as much as i was mate i nearly had a heart attack. They said this also includes the chipping. You try going to them with a puppy already docked though. You might aswell have commited murder.

I've got two litters on at the minute and the costs are mounting all the time, travel to stud £90 docking and chipping £370 and so on. In conversations I've had with the people I've lined up for the pups all so far have offered to refund all costs. I wouldn't dream of it, to me it would belittle what these dogs mean to me to even consider having any money change hands. A little respect by way of return pups is all i would ask and the only other thing i would ask is for the bitches not to be treated like £££££££ machines.

I payed 250 for a bitch after being out of the game for a while, i was lucky she came good, good enough that i thought her worth breeding from, i was also lucky that a genuine lad gave me a stud from his excelent stuff, no money changed hands.

Im hoping she will have only 4 or 5 pups so they can all go to mates and i know where the blood is.

The bitch owes me nothing with the sport shes give me. Money shouldnt come into it with game little warriors.

To be honest mate i was gutted, i have said before and i'll say it again "i will not intentionally keep a choc pup again" only this time i've got no choice.

I'm sick of the chocolate bug thats kicking about and i wouldn't throw anymore fuel on the fire, it's all black for me if given the choice
