southcott 9
the little whippet lurcher that came to live with us, has settled in well, but with free run around the paddock with the other dogs the weight was dropping of. She is 8 mths aprox now, although she would eat her food twice a day it was picky, by accident i had left down a bowl of beta pup soaked in warm water, and she came in and eat the lot ! and my fussy deerhound bitch decided she liked it to, thay both love lamb bits but its not always available, ive also tried adding sardines this some times works. any other idears for fussy thin feeders. atb Denise

sputtheload 5
i find with fussy eaters and you want to gain wait feed them on raw meat and as said add an egg also if you can get from the butchers some bones the ribbs are good as they still have some good bits of meat on too give them that as loads of bones slows down the system and gives the dog longer to obsorb the goodness out the food and hardens there stools too. this will ensure she gets the best out of her food, some food it goes in through one end and straight out the other so all that food and goodness is going down the drain
Pignut 4
I too add a raw egg. Also competition gets them eating. My lurcher is picky and would wander off until the two terrier-vultures appeared and then he woofed his food in case they got it. Pilchards in tomato sauce, sardines in oil, herring, nice bones.
