Top Lamper 2k10 169
a very loyal dog thats listens and retrives back to hand and it should be able to take all quarry i would lyk it to stand about 26'' 27'' tts rough coat blue brindle so i reckon a deerhoumd greyhound 3/4 bred would be perfect in my eyes atb Top Lamper Quote Link to post
shotgunandy 2
In my opinion mate a collie/greyxdeerhound would be perfect. able to take all quarry, fast and will run all night. however there are a lot of other types about that are just as up to the job but its all down to personal preferance really. a good lurcher should be able to retrieve rabbits live to hand and also tackle larger quarry if required. it is an advantage with all working dogs if they can jump mate. atb andy Quote Link to post

the pikey poacher 1,157
there is only 1 ultimate lurcher imo and that is a saluki/grey cross collie/grey they are super all rounders but mine is the best ha ha Quote Link to post
celtic hound 2
the ultimate lurcher will never be born,it takes so much to make a good dog nevermind an ultimate one.if you could take the best of each cross that are put into lurchers you might come close,i.e collie=brains bull=drive saluki=stamina.but it does'nt normally work like that Quote Link to post
