your dog mite be loosein weight cause have you got a bitch in season or any bitch's next door to ya that could be in season?

daft lad if u have nothing to say whast helpfull be quiet

what is wrong with that reply??

nervous stress(we all know what that is when the mrs...............) is a common cause of weight loss(anxiety,fear......).

if the dog is wormed and no increase in calories exerted/reduction in intake then its a valid oppinion.

if none of these is the case then i would also take the advice of a trip to the vet bud.

Take it to the vet, a friend of mine had the same situation a few weeks ago, I'm not 100% sure but I think the dog had ate rat poison, had to have him pts after a few days of tablets because he'd left it to late. I'm not saying it's the same thing but better safe than sorry

Bin feeding mine of a dried mix and meat diet, and quite often venison, rabbit and other meats.

If you are sure it is not a medical problem ,try the dog on lamb ribs/breast,you can usually pick them up from a butchers for a small sum, they have a good fat content in them. My three dogs have rabbit as their mainstay meat, because I get a lot of them, but there is allmost zero fat in it,the same goes for venison. High protein but low in fat.

Your dog needs more fat in its diet by the sounds of it,I ring the changes once a week with a couple of tins of pilchards in tomato sauce between them, a few eggs ,half boiled as well ,you might try a spoonful of cooking oil in its grub too. But make sure there is not an underlying medical problem first.ATB.Inan.
