Mutimer 0
Has anyone any trap designs suitable for catching ducks? I have been requested to try and relocate a number of Mallard Ducks on a site. I live near the broads so relocating them on is not a problem. They are currently causing health concerns around a swimming pool and eating area. If anyone could offer any advice on how best to catch them alive I would be great full. And before anyone asks no i can't just shoot them when no one is looking LOL Thanks for any advice Darren Quote Link to post
SEAN3513 7
think thats a no no mate ........but could be wrong ??? have a look at the wildlife and countryside act.............dont think you can re-locate "wild" animals ..........not sure about ducks ?? someone will hopefully know cheers sean Quote Link to post
Mutimer 0
Another reason for asking. They would one be moved to a small flooded splash about 0.5 miles away on the broads. If they are causing health issues what other options are there? Quote Link to post
Dakaras 3
I would contact english nature, you can then apply for a special licence to relocate them on the grounds of health and safety. I could be wrong but thats where Id start. Quote Link to post
Bobba_fett 117
will they not just fly back if its 0.5m away? Quote Link to post
Mutimer 0
Once on the splash and so close to broads hopefully not. Most ducks fly over site just past month a few have started hanging around pool area. Quote Link to post
