I was recommended chappie by a mate for feeding my terriers. I started to feed them it, but every morning I would find 1 of them had shit on the kitchen floor :o I tried giving them it soaked in water, then tried giving them it dry, even tried feeding at different times of the day. But still every morning there was a turd on the floor :wallbash::wallbash: .

I went back to the food they were previously on and there hasnt been any mess on the floor since :D

only ever used it on a saluki/grey pup i had years ago, good healthy pup,or so it seemed, got home and occasionally it was shitting with small amounts of blood in it.after a trip to the vet and a couple of weeks of unnecessary pills, was told to put her on chappie, very good for a young dog with this condition and worked almost immediately, the previous owner obviously feeding it something far to rich/strong whatever, for it,so as i say used it once with good effect

Sorry peeps, its the dry stuff im talking about (complete) :icon_redface:

Kyle

Sorry mate, as one or two have said already, never used the dry type. Have always found the tinned variety good, and as Kay says, it's great for a dog with a stomach problem. I was at a doggy event once, and there was a dog nutrition talk by a man from Pedigree petfoods. With all the choice he had, he said he recommended and used tinned chappie himself!

i give a dry food in a bowl in the kitchen where they can help themselves(always a different type depending where i go shopping, never over 15 quid a bag though)as well as raw chicken and other stuff. i see it as a bulking food.

they are both "in weight" as as fit as the proverbial stringed instruments, faeces varies between dry/boney to "proper jobby".another plus is that dry and bones etc clean the teeth. i don't feed tinned food(the only thing they get that comes out of a tin is fish).

Chappie good for dogs for old, sick & dogs with dodgy stomachs. I wouldn't use any tinned dog food as a main for my dogs, look at the water content - generally around %85

That's what my vet said too.

My lurcher (and 2 Patts) have it most days. The lurcher is losing weight (he is 13) so I add a raw egg too plus biccies, obviously.
