watchman 256
mate has just phoned about his whippet pup,now 6 months old, saying its got dandruff and how can he cure it. i know the dog has been well fed, plenty raw meat and vegetables since hes had it but he admitted over the last month or so he been using a dry working dog food and a cheap one at that to get him through the summer,so put him back on track with diet. the dog is regularly treated for fleas and is bedded down on straw in the kennel, since it was 8 weeks old,any advice i can get from you guys to tell him will be much appreciated cheers rob. did see a thread on it recently but cant find it now FOUND THE THREAD I WAS LOOKING FOR CHEERS Edited April 28, 2010 by watchman

skycat 6,173
Dogs will be moulting at this time of year: it is normal to shed skin cells along with dead fur, though of course the right diet will help keep the skin in good condition as well.

As above would just add a little veg oil added to the diet helps the skin condition, and flea effectively and you wont need to flea to often.
