cassshantia 16
im still buzzing from last nights lamping trip we have had a call from a farmer regarding charlies taking chickens and duck ,this ground has had alot of foxes over the past 4 yrs or so having litter after litter ,my friend traps alot but now the older ones are wary so off we went to the field(WHICH WE BAITED WITH A NEWLY STILL BORN LAMB AT TEA TIME)we walked around the field to the steaked lamb and nothing ,so we walked to the hedge and saw a fox mousing in the grass about 110 metres away i got settled on the fence post just going to pull the trigger and it jumped /pounced on its prey my heart now is racing ,then it just sat there then i squeezed the trigger and it dropped like a stone ,sako 90 gr game head bullet,i was so chuffed , my friend went over to pick it up and it was a vixen, tiny thing too on returning to the field with lamb in there s another set of eyes i got down on my bipod but corn too long top see it so we walked a bit further and it took off ,we sat for an hour only to see one sat behind us god knows how long it was watching us as we swung around again corn too long and again it headed off so we think it was a different to the first one so 2 to sort out in near future we also had a go at the rabbits in 3 paddocks with .17 and had 8 rabbits only so a good night by all Quote Link to post
