whippeter69 88
So was in school today, when lunch time came 1.20 i headed down town right, got some grub and went to where my mates were in the football field ( Is anyone has been to Aberaeron you will have probably notice the big football pitch in the middle of the town) Then what do I see, THE RSPCA OFFERING PONY RIDE FOR MONEY. I though that they were against animal cruelty, im not saying that riding a horse is cruel, but the fact that they were using thiws horse to make them selves money i couldn't believe. I felt like phoning them up after this but, got carried away with other work i had to do. Whats you opinion on this ?

2434me 13
If you had done that for school funds ! They would have stopped you saying it was "Exploiting animals" !!!!!
lurchergrrl 1,441
They were probably trying to raise money to buy more bolt guns for shooting dogs. ... bunch of useless tits ...
RicW 67
Lying hypocritical scumbags. They were ok 20 years ago, then the LACS mounted a major infiltration exercise. They are no longer an animal welfare charity, they are a political organisation with political aims. SO SUE ME! DARE YOU! NYAAH!

mike1458 14
kevin, that is aweful. I can't believe that the judge threw it out. How can they justify that. Surely there must have been a description of the "dangerous dog" next door. Its bloody crazy how they get away with it. There time will come. ATB Mike

Urban Fox Control London 8
The RSPCA offer advice. They offered a couple sound advice to lock a urban fox in their conservatory which cost them £1000 in damage. http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-1081033/Fox-causes-1-000-worth-damage-RSPCA-advise-couple-lock-conservatory.html Wouldn't you just calmly open the door and let it out for another day rather than the damage? unlacedgecko 1,466
wouldnt trust the RSPCA as far as i could piss. There is a website for people experiencing problems with the charity. the address is http://the-shg.org/. fortunately i havent had to deal with them yet, but the website seems full of useful advice. pattstaff 157
I think a hunter should join the RSPCA as a volunteer and see what really goes on. A boy I know who worked for them told me a few scary stories of what goes on behind closed doors.
Geoff.C 0
I think a hunter should join the RSPCA as a volunteer and see what really goes on. A boy I know who worked for them told me a few scary stories of what goes on behind closed doors. You won't be dealing with them at all, unless they come after one of your dogs. According to a memo leaked to the press, from 4th May, they will only take in "RSPCA generated" animals, such as cruelty cases where they take the dog away. People turning up with a stray they have found, will be turned away. This policy has been tested at Ringwood, Hampshire already. You are advised to contact the police, or a vets. This will put pressure on private rescue centres, and probably cause more animals to just be abandoned. Probably give themselves a rise on the funds they save! Edit Managed to attach this to the wrong post, should be on the one above, where unlacedgecko talks about dealing with the RSPCA.
unlacedgecko 1,466
geoff, i had heard of that policy, but hoped it wasnt true. i hope to never have any dealing with the RSPCA. Any animal which i can no longer care for will be rehomed with my friends or family. if that is not possible it will be going in the ground. the website i mention is to help people who are being investigate/prosecuted. this is the only way i will have any dealings with the charity. i keep my animals in good nick, but the world is full of nosey neighbours and do gooders without a clue. my sister has been on the receiving end of this sort of thing for her horses following complaints by walkers ramblers and the like. she didnt know any better and let the 'inspectors' on our property. her horses are kept in good nick and there was no further action, but i dread to think what could have happened if there was young stock or something she had just bought. some times she gets stuff in which hasnt been kept to our high standards. hope no one off here ever has to deal with this bunch of over bearing tools, with their inflated sense of self worth and importance.
