Deker 3,478
Going FAC on air may seem like a good option at times but for many the reality is different, they are of course far more expensive than a .22lr and far less versatile, and eat air... ........................remember a .22lr can shoot caps, short, longs, lr, shotshells..and probably a few things I have forgotten. It can also do it consistantly shot after shot and deliver power from around 30-205ftlb! Quote Link to post
HUnter_zero 58
remember a .22lr can / deliver power from around 30-205ftlb! I would love to know what or which brand of .22 long rifle ammunition produces 205ftlb John Edited April 29, 2010 by HUnter_zero Quote Link to post

I think that qualifies as being around 30-205ft lb. Edited April 29, 2010 by Deker Quote Link to post

jackinbox99 41
Id agree with the other comments. Id stick with a normal NON FAC air rifle for what you want. Ideal for rats, rabbits, pigeons, magpies and anything else along those lines. Personally i dont think its worth the hassle and expense of going FAC just for an FAC air rifle. If your going FAC you should go for a 17hmr or 22lr if you can get permission for them. With regards to Geese and Duck.. your better off with a shotgun! Quote Link to post

Search back on this site, I had this debate a year or two back and someone gave me details of a dealer with them in stock....around Cambridgeshire I seem to recall...anyway...ask any dealer who stocks Aguilla, they are shit but they are available! Rake aboot 4,936
Problem geese can be shot no bother with a rifle. Wouldn`t shoot duck with it tho Agree with most that a 22lr is the way forward. I had a slot on my license for FAC air but never filled it as I managed quite fine with sub 12 and everything else with the 22lr. AND you can pick up 22lr for much cheapness,, even new! HUnter_zero 58
YES... Thanks for that, no need to shout tho, my hearings not that bad. I would just love to try them (not being sarcastic. As per my previous post, I genuinely am interested in giving the ammo a bash for long range bunny bashing as I was planning on a .22 WMR). Thanks again. John Edited April 30, 2010 by HUnter_zero Quote Link to post

Dunno about shooting ducks, but i went for a walk around some local lakes the other day and there were millions of ducks asleep. You could litterally walk up and pick one up with your hands if you so wished! Quote Link to post
