I use 100 gn bullets - Sierra ProHunter 1620. Reasonable cost & work very well shooting all species of deer, especially Red Stags/Hinds & Sika. Propellant I use is either H4350 or IMR 4350 (Both very similar, but don't mix up charge weights). Work your load carefully.

I have tried heavier bullets, but not yet found them satisfactory in my rifle.

Good luck, this is an excellent flat shooting calibre.

I normally use 100g & less as thats what i have found to be best for accuracy. I have just played with the 117g hornaday sst with H4831sc at 52g load & cci primmer un-crimped with about 1" group. For 115g bullets i had good results with N160 at 47.7g & Reloader22 with 54.5g load & the 115g nosler with combined technolagie were very good but expensive. For the 100g bullets N160 at 53g & Reloader22 at 55g gave .3 to .6 groups & i work a tikka 695 with t8 mod. The speer 87g TNT are very good & so are the 75g v-max for the lighter varmint loads 7 the TNT were good on roe.

i have shot and reloaded .25-06 for a lot of year's have shot all six species of deer + boar. I shoot 120-150 Fallow and 10-15 Very Big Red each season My load i use in my Tikka t3 hunter is 50.5 OF IMR4831 (different to H4831) Fed Gold Match Primer and 120g Nossler Partition or 120g Grand Slam this Premiuon Bullets are hard and driven at 2,800-3,100fps no abnormal meat damage, soft light constructed bullet's from the .25 will cause a lot of meat damage. "KEEP" Those light pretty coloured tipped bullets for fox's. With patience and care your .25 will do "ALL" you ask of it mine will ragged hole at 100m. Good luck and enjoy your .25 any help or tip's feel free to ask
