Noise!!!! of the pegs!!!!! at the end of the day the wind is the netters friend !!!! I personally work with a two man team!! strange how when walking up to a set the guy in front alwayse seems the noisest bugger!!!

Er, the point was that even on good winds those fibre-glass jobs have only got to move slightly in the basket to play a tune that will alert the close feeders, hazel is first choice for availability and it is also the quietest that i have found. I often work on my own and as hard as you try some sticks shift in the basket. :hmm:

get shot of the basket :D

Good call Netrigger, but working on my own i will oft times carry and run three hundred yards at one go, using the old method of picking all the rubbish out with one hand whilst the other holds the net up in the air, not for me these days. If it works for you then all power to your elbow. but for me two hands to sort out the trash. Regards. Mapreader. :thumbs-up:Fare play Mapreader this thread could go on......on.......on.....on...regarding longnet set ups very rarely do i work solo ...never used the quick/basket method always work as a two man team.. runner.....pegger in the traditional manner(HAZEL) whilst working as a team Ive never been to botherd about debri in the nets coz whilst picking up as a team you try and make the nets as clean as possible for the next set... P.S....its a hard game!!

im getting them from him but he said 4 should be ok

better setting the net on 6 uprights ! keeps the lines taut.

You never ever want the lines too taught  rabbits will just bounce off  The more net you can get between posts the better to a certain degree.
