olivhar01 0
I decided to take a trip down to one of my permissions in dorset last week to try and bag my first buck for 2010. I have spotted a few good bucks over the last couple of weeks on this ground but they were still in velvet so i decided to wait until they were clean before thinning them out. I headed for the woodland where they had been spotted previously and noticed a good buck browsing along the edge and occasionally thrashing about in the undergrowth. I checked the wind direction and it was in my favour so i decided to lay up and wait for him to leave the woodland edge to produce a safe shot, after 20 mins he ventured out into the field and headed in my direction before turning broadside on @ 100yds. Took the shot with the .243 and he dropped on the spot. very happy with the shot placement and a good first buck to start the new season Quote Link to post
