exellent going. i have a question for you. i have noticed that on the first couple of rabbits u shot, they were almost belly shots. not shoulder or head. i'm no expert but i alwys try to shoot for the shouloders or head of a rabbit for the quick kill. i mean we can never be perfect all the time! i'm just after advice. were these shots clean kills? only i have missed befor just like you said! above or below the head witch is a relitivly small target compared to the belly??

hi adam, well i only go for head shots as there is a very small chance of wounding because if it misses like my miss judgment of distance did it went over the top, too low and it goes under its chin to the left and its a spinal shot and instant kill and to the right again a miss, i have taken 1 or 2 heart shots with good success but these were close, awkward shots where a head shot was blocked. a belly shot would not take down a rabbit, even with a fac air rifle unless you managed to get the heart shot at close-ish range. i do ALOT of target practice at different ranges and know the limitations of my rifle, my ability and the conditions and use this knowledge in the field and a good moto to go by is ''when in dought.... dont shoot at the live animal'' keep you skills and marksmanship principles up and the rifle will do the rest

I think Adam that what you are refering to is where Alex has actually gutted them in the field, hence the blood around the belly.

A lot of guys here gut them before the trophy pic, makes it easier to carry a pack full of gutted ones than full ones

Let you into a secret :secret: I usually wait and gut them after the photo cuz it makes em look bigger that way

And cuz I'm Strong :D
