Hannah4181 260
Depends on the type of coat? If its fairly course then the best option is to hand strip the coat, this is literally done by pulling the longer fur between your thumb and fore finger in the same direction as the coat grows. If you have never done it just start on a small, painless area like the scruff of the dog. It should come away easily and not cause the dog to yelp or express pain. Some dogs take to it better than others, mine is ok but doesn't like the more tender areas being done . . inside legs, belly and his man bits! If the coat is the more wooly type then its personal choice as to weather you clip/shave the coat. Maybe upload some pictures of the dog to show the coat type. Or have a read of this thread from earlier today. http://www.thehuntinglife.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=151967&st=15&p=1536465&fromsearch=1entry1536465 He's a picture of my beddyXwhippet so you get an idea of coat type . . .his is course/wiry.
