stroller 341 Posted April 25, 2010 Report Share Posted April 25, 2010 its the off season so apart from a bit mooching what do you do with the dog during the summer? i have two of mine at agility training,it just keeps them focused obedient and fit. i also have the big dog in scurrys and competitions at game fairs. anybody do anything unusual with their dogs? i know one lads dog is used as a mountain rescue dog. it doesnt work as a hunting dog. Hannah4181 260 Posted April 25, 2010 Report Share Posted April 25, 2010 My dalmationxbeardy although not a working lurcher, is a handy dog in the winter and will have a go on the lamp, day time flushing and catching bunnies, also handy at taking pheasants mid air!! The summer months is when she's at her busiest though competing in a variety of dog sports, dock dogs is her main event though and the one she does the best at. Quote Link to post

Guest stewie Posted April 25, 2010 Report Share Posted April 25, 2010 i go to shows, take them fishing down the rivers nr me, evening bike rides, take them to work if the job im on is ok with it and regular trips to the beer garden!! anything to keep them fit and busy while there not sparked out in the sun catching some rays!! Walk the lakes for a couple of hours in the mornings, visit the farms one day a week with them, some is pest control, also take the air rifle take a couple of pot shots, rats, pigeons and crows, they babysit the grandkids a couple of days a week, that keeps em busy hahah. I usually get my dog to pay its way through the summer months..... f**k allowing all these polish c**ts to get all the jobs..... he's a dab hand at the old rhubarb picking, not so good at the strawberries though.... gets too many stuck on his beard, sure give away...... Lordy Hannah you're one brave girl - what a bonkers cross She is a crackin' looking dog Dock dogs is cool, I didn't know they did that here, think I heard about that back home tho.
