PINNACLE 2,297
We got given a new chicken a few weeks ago and today I saw her catch and eat another mouse, this is the second one she has had. Is this normal? Our others have never done this as far as I am aware and we have had them a couple of years. I assume it won’t harm her and it is quite handy saving me trapping them. A mouse coursing chicken I wonder what trouble I can get into.

Butler 396
My birds would kill and eat mice if they could catch them. They probably kill about half a dozen rats every year and when the young sparrows are about they are not safe either.
ratkilla 35
The chicken farm where i used to rat alot up there with the dogs n air rifle, you'd often see a few of the lose chickens in the yard pecking away and eating the dead rats they seem to like um
