andyfr1968 772
£150???? FFS, bad luck, mate. I'd used springers for a long time and only got into PCPs last year. I tried the 100 but for me, it just didn't feel right. Lovely gun and all that but it just didn't fit me. I ended up with an AA410c and I really can't fault it so far. Lovely gun and so easy to use. Well pleased!! Try to get a go with as many guns as you can 'cos what feels 'right' for you should shoot right for you. Cheers. Quote Link to post
stealthy1 3,964
If you can get a look in at a HW100 for that amount of cash, grab it, they are very good guns Quote Link to post
blurryswine 0
I would look at getting an airarms 410 or hw100 both great rifles! the airarms being alot lighter would be better for lamping sessions if you did that, but the hw100 has a great cocking system. Also see if you can get your self a divers bottle just easier thats all. Cheers blurry. Quote Link to post
aaronpigeonplucker 32
with £500 you have a lot of choice. charging equipment will cost you £100 second hand. hw100k are very good. most people pick up th thumbole version as this is the most popular version and dont think of the sporter version. the thmbhole version didnt suit me as well as the sporter version which i really liked. air arms s400 or air arms s410 are good well known guns and the s400 is THE most accuratue gun i've evr used. 5p sized groups at 40yrds from a bipod. hullhunter 219
thanks for the replys lads looks like the s400 and the hw100 are popular riffles then ill have to have a read up on them both. i have shot the hw100 a few times and liked it, it is a bit on the heavy side but im useing a tx200 at the min so im not that conserned about the weight. i would sooner have an accurate heavy riffle than a light thing that spits pellets all over the place. aaronpigeonplucker 32
s400k (carbine) is very ligh and accurate and i would highly recommend. although i have the classic and i'm of shorter build (i'm 13) and even though its a bit long i find it fine. Quote Link to post
