pickaxes cracking litter of pups has made me think,i have only ever bred when ive needed a pup for myself an from a fairly insular line of dogs but have noticed the traits of a worker in this family are fairly obvious from a few weeks old,ive never kept a pup back that hasnt made the grade.(maybe have just been lucky) is this the same for everyone i wonder?or is it just a lottery, obviously a scatter bred dog wouldnt show genetic similarities?

Perhaps you have been lucky perhaps you dont demand from a dog what others do.There is a line I will always go back to as it rarely seems to turn out failures.Perhaps I am lucky perhaps I dont demand what others do. :11:

Potter, it maybe that you have been lucky. It maybe that critics would say you don't require a lot from a dog, or it just maybe you know what animal suits you and can bring it on in the right way! I think it is more of the latter.

i feel tainted. an f**k me bernie i wish i cud get my hands on the best! :clapper::clapper::yahoo: an seriously kane u dont hav 2 be demanding cos the rules are easy 2 follow,if they find an stay til dug consistently then they are wots known as working terriers. anything that falls outside of that criteria is not so im assuming we all demand the same? :search: :search: :11:
