RSWO 0
What is the thoughts on bino's 8x42 or 10x42 pro's and con's pse THANKS RSWO Quote Link to post
john robbo 30
Always used 7 or 8 x42's but just bought a pair of Zeiss victory 10x42 fl's and they are unreal clarirty and very light weight. I would stick with low mag if they are cheaper quality optics but these new ones are fantastic. And remember I use my bins every day and evening for work. But more info on what you need them for would be helpful. woodland hill red roe munties day only or twilight + terraian and budget. regards john. Quote Link to post

flytie 1
8x42 are easier to hold steady while glassing and are just about perfect for woodland stalking IMO. 10x42 are probably better if you are glassing hillsides and long distance. They are more difficult to hold steady, because of the strength of magnification, and are often used with a rest (using a stick etc.) A good quality pair of either will be a pleasure to use. ft Quote Link to post

waidmann 105
some are old at 35 bud(me included). i think the relevance of age is more down to the light value/pupil width when it comes to bino's and age. atb waidmann Quote Link to post

wireviz 8
Like i said Jon when you are struggling to use a 7x mag for stalking its time to take up knitting or you could always let other people shoot your deer PS here is a mistake i made because the magnification on my bins was to small. mj robson 8
I like 10x mag as the ground I stalk is quite open. I also use a 30x spotting scope for a good look up close. Quote Link to post
