I think that 99% of land around the country has had people on it before we adventually get there. As for the dog needing a good nose, that is also spot on. That is why i like to hunt on such land, as my dogs have the nose which is required to get the runs they crave... As for 8 towns, lol. I wouldnt go that far, i know if you walk down hill you wont get far but go left, right, or up and you can walk for some 4 to 10 miles of unspoilt countryside. Yes it is less than a mile away from the stoups brigade of bullx's etc, maybe they need to get dogs with better noses, lol.. Then over the other way you have the weaton x lads, which incidently are very good dogs and have a habit of nailing there game every time they go out, even tho the areas they work are worked by others as well. The wife and i stopped in the local park there to talk with 2 geezers who had some handy looking lurchers with them. After 5 minutes or so of chatting, the name dropping started. One of the guys mentioned Newchurch, i am sure you know it Dodger. "Every f****r has been there, its hammered, battered , shit".3 days earlier the wife and i walked it and sited 9 Ears, lol. Yep we said, it is... Maybe the valley and rough ground, and turbines i pictured do see the odd lurcher, but i have the sole permission for running dogs on the other side of the hill, which strecthes over 3 miles and runs through 3 different farms. They are having problems with certain things of late, which makes my dogs lives very good....so all these terriers around must be putting on some weight... The reason i put this mooch on was that it is not a secret, yet we still manage to catch regularly... Just showing that wheretheres a will theresa way.. And what you said doger is very true, so it makes me even more content with my dogs records from the last season, and wonder, seeing as i work them everyday or at least 5 in 7, where do all these other lurchers go.....
