Got to agree with the single stick its never been my cup of tea and i can only reliably shoot out to 50 or so meters with one. Quote Link to post

I failed my DSC1 using a monopod in a strong wind. it was so unstable I dumped it and went for an offhand been standing around waiting for 2 hours first in the cold, I swung the gun into the sling position and got failed on a safety point as muzzle had swung up above target first OOPs.
