Shotgun Advice

hello all,

 

at the presant time im an airgunner but i am selling that and contemplating applying for a shot gun certificate or wether to but another air gun, i am favouring shotgun more. this is because i have just got permission for around 150 acres i esttimate and i think it would be perfect for a shot gun,(this is wat the owner used before he got to ill to shoot)

i am 15, so i would have to get myself and my dad a shotgun certificate, there fore it ment he tecnically own the gun but i would be able to use the gun on my permission, and maybe some clays

 

so my questions are;

one have i got my facts correct about what i said above?

 

and if i was to get a shotgun would i be able to shoot unsupervised on my permission? (im bit unsure on this one)?

 

and i would very much like your advice on the type of shotgun, bore make etc...?

at 15 you cannot buy a gun but you can have one given to you

in your position i would read the pinned section at the top of the page and maybe use the search function to find similar topics(this has been covered quite alot hence the slow "take up" with your thread).

if you inform yourself as to the rules and regs and then ask if anything is unclear you will get a better response bud.

yer i thought this topic might have been covered fairly frequently but i felt i should ask,

just read the bit at the top you are on about, it was very helpful.
