I voted no, I have shot the odd one before but haven't shot one in a few years (had the chance plenty of times but never felt the need, plus there nice to watch)

however i have shot hundreds for blue hares on the hill.

Yea, thats why i never included them as I know for grouse production and hether regeneration they must be kept to a minimum. Also to prevent the spread of tick and assosciated Louping Ill virus depending on location.

hi,

over the last 2 years i have shot over 20 (maybe 25) on one of my permissions. this place had quite a few for many many years but they were getting to numerous so the farmer asked me to cut them back. we had a good go at them for the 2 seasons and are now hopefully at a level that the farmer is happy (he likes them to just not in large numbers) so they will be left to themselves again! maybe have 1 or 2 for the pot.

i am voting "yes" to this this time but will probably be a "no" in the future.

blue/mountain hares are plenty on the higher ground on other permissions. there a defo "yes"
