masmiffy 82
Very open ended question! Generally I find one in proof that goes bang usually does the job! Quote Link to post
halamrose 24
yes, the one in your hands brings back more than the one left in the cabinet. If you want a sensible answer give us some clue what you want to use it for. Quote Link to post

Guest dazzb
there is no answer to your question mate, it's like asking whats the best lurcher or whats the best terrier, what you need to do mate is decide what budget you have then get yourself round some decent gun shops and ask some questions (but not whitch is the best one), more importantly get hold of them and see how they feel, a decent gun shop will point you in the right direction and tell you what to look for. atb daz, let us know what you decide on Quote Link to post

FightTheBan 1,147
Over and under 12 bore baikal. Cheap-reliable-shoots well-good allrounder ...all you ever need to get started. Once you start to get into it in a big way, start ptting some cash aside for a good quality gun. FTB Quote Link to post
jackinbox99 41
And my advice is dont go for something too expensive. I use a £60 spanish side by side for most of my shooting atm, clays, and out in the field. Does me really well, and I find I leave my more expensive (£1000) guns in the cabinet. As others have said, shop about, theres plenty of cheap guns around the £120 mark. Get one which fits. Quote Link to post
Hoolit 2
Over and under 12 bore baikal. Cheap-reliable-shoots well-good allrounder ...all you ever need to get started. Once you start to get into it in a big way, start ptting some cash aside for a good quality gun. FTB Bang on ( no pun intended) i had a baikals for 20 odd years and you could batter fence posts in with it in the morning and flight ducks with it at night . Seriously though for a first gun they are pretty well destructable chromed barrels easy cleaning and soidly built also very cheap on the second hand market. Good luck Quote Link to post
