My Lakeland/Patterdale Terrier

Recommended Posts

Here is a photo of my 2 and a half year old Terrier Bitch. Has an excellent nose for marking rats and rabbits. I often take her ferreting rabbits into long nets or purse nets. She does an excellent job of holding rabbits in nets if I'm busy dealing with another rabbit in a different net.

work to ground or not?

prob silly question tbf

Work to ground! She'd go down a mole hole if she could. she's very good when ferrets kill in you only have to open a hole up and she's in to drag dead rabbit out.

Hi ya Craig, that's when she was a pup, she's grown out of that habit now.

A well trained terrier will recognise ferrets as hunting partners, and quickly learns that ferrets going down an hole usually means rabbits or rats are coming out shortly.
