He owns a staffy and a Bedlington terrier both none workers but caught the odd rabbit, he's wanting a female terrier to do the odd bit of ratting and maybe mark rabbit wholes. Wont be doing any digging with the dog. What would you reccomend fellas.

Thanks in advance.

has he tried getting the two dogs he has working on rabbit etc?

staff and beddy will both do what he wants they will just need "polishing" to the standard he wishes.

The staffs not that bothered and the beddy is 13yrs old mate. I thought maybe a JRT x Lakeland would do the job he wants.

if the dogs are kenneled together the 3 is not a good constillation.

what sex is the beddy?

if earth work is not on the cards at all then i would go for a dog that CANT go to ground,if he likes the beddy then a beddy x whippet would be a very good rabbiting companion(marking, holding and catching bolters),nobody can sell you a terrier that will not go to ground(unless an older dog).saying that my bull x will go to ground if i let him!!(bullgrey x bullwhippet).

if he wants a smaller dog the look in the for sale section there are some VERY nice teckel x's (jackard i think it was?) and one of them will make a good all rounder i'm sure.if i were after another dog it would be one of those
