whin 463
saw the dvd years ago and hunted land simliar took big hauls with dogs good crack ,if you havent hunted areas like that its great to get a few nites getting loads , was agood video in its time ,just take it for what it was nothing else ,and nothing thta aint been done before and now but still a good dvd Quote Link to post
mush 204
seen it years ago, no one is saying a big dog cant pick a rabbit just they find it a lot harder and take half or less of the rabbits a medium size dog would take. Didn't think the deerhound cross was that good in the video If people do it would explain why people think their any good as they must have low standards for a lamp dog. Quote Link to post
poacher3161 1,766
Some tidy looking dogs on it especialy the beddy cross must admit though they looked easey to catch rabbits compaired to other parts of the country. Its like lads around here who had average lamp dogs but could go up to the dales and catch double figures all the time. DUCKWING 302
WELL LADS , IVE HUNTED ALL OVER THE COUNTRY ................ IT ISNT THE RABBITS THAT ARE EASIER TO CATCH .................... ITS THE LAND THAT THEY ARE RUN ON DO YOU LADS THINK THERES A REASON THERES A LOT OF GOOD DOG MEN IN THE NORTH EAST ? ........ THINK ABOUT IT DUCKWING Quote Link to post
poacher3161 1,766
Always found ground game easier to catch in areas that were heavily populated even the noted six mile bottom pre ban i found the hares easier to catch than in other less populated areas. Quote Link to post
gnipper 6,469
Localy,.we could do with some of them 'dry stone walls',... Locally we could do with some walls or even fences or hedges would be a start to slow the bob tailed missiles down. Quote Link to post
