FERRET FOUND ELEY AREA OF CARDIFF

Recommended Posts

A ferret was passed to us tonight (19-04-10) which was found in the Gwent road area of Eley in Cardiff.

The ferret has been very well looked after and is in top condition.

The ferret is safe, warm and dry.

If there are any members from Eley, please can you ask around and PM me with the details of the ferret lost. Sex / Approx age / Colour .

Would be nice if the mods could put this post as a sticky because whoever has lost the ferret will be well and truly gutted.

Just a quick bump. We can not locate the owners. Mrs H_Z called the RSPCA, local vets, Police and Council animal shelter but no body has reported the loss of a ferret

I'm shocked as the poor war weasel is in cracking conditions, being washed in tea tree oil and having all claws clipped. Somebody out there must be worried about their ferret. If anyone has any ideas where to try and contact please can you let me know.

keep it mate

It might well come down to that. What amazes me is that the poor beast is in such good condition. We took him to the vet yesterday for a once over and to scan for chips, nothing. The vet said give it 7 days and keep it. The RSPCA said the same. HOWEVER if it were my ferret I would be 101% gutted. It's surprising the number of people we have had who have said that it is 100% their ferret but when we ask what markings has the ferret got, or other specific questions they start to throw abuse and become really nasty. We are certainly not going to give the ferret away to any old person, the Mrs has an OCD over the ferrets but would love to find the original owner as they really did look after the ferret.

Because we have a mini-ferret court the problem is that we can not put the ferret in there because the other two war weasels will bite it for a while, so it's going to be a slight modification, to the tune of £50 sobs, just to build suitable accommodation, and then the Mrs will not keep it on it's own so we will need to get another for company. All in all it would be better to find the owner, cheaper and less hassle, failing that it's wood work for me this week end.
