perhaps you should of considered this as part of your duty.its your duty to do the job as humanly as possible,if you know this is not possible with the tools you have then dont attempt it, simples.

 

as for MR D&L, anyone can find ground to game now, and yes sometimes you have no option but to do the job. the problem here is that the job was poorly done and then promoted with misguided pride.

The problem I have with lads like this is ....you never hear from them all winter cause they are lazy b*****ds and dont want to put in the miles or the time this lad has not put a digging post up all winter but when spring time comes theres loads of pics of miilky vixens and JR Yipp somes it up for me

Granted cubs have to be dealt with when livestock is concerned ...I had to sort a litter of cubs 3 weeks ago for a keeper but I never came on here looking for a pat on the back

im not sticking up for this chap,i dont know him,who he is etc etc. BUT,what about the rifle brigade.when they shoot a milky one,do they go out of their way to locate the litter? the majority of boys i know dont but fortunately i get the call saying what they have shot,thus leaving it to me to find the litter.

if they have any skill there are lots of ways to get the litter and both parents. if they shoot the vixen there is nowt to say the dog wont feed them, so in truth they are not doing a good job atall. there are several methods than can be used, mainly involving shooting the vixen first but again its the persons duty to make sure the job is followed through properly.

Even if you couldnt be arsed digging, white terrier in the tin would do the trick if needs must.

Vixen looks too well sooked to just 'forget about them' - which is besides the point.

 

To be fair I probabbly wouldnt dig 3 metres (if thats what it was) for a few cubs, but i would definately make sure they were dead.
