Weekend with the new hw100

Well took the new rifle out on saturday and sunday,and got ..........NOTHING..... .I don't know what went wrong i really don't,i sat outside warrens that i knew held rabbits as i saw some drop in on my arrivel,i got down wind and waited for 4 hours and nothing.Same on the sunday nothing,to be honest there was not much breeze at all because of the warm sunny weather suppose the breeze could have changed or i made a bit to much noise i don't know.So all in all a blanked weekend.Roll on next weekend.

Don't help when you come home after two days shooting and the missus says "all that money you spent on that rifle and you still come home with nothing" then the door gets slammed

the last time i waited out side a warren for that amount of time! i decided to go back for a cuppa! and four of them came out!

 

if you move across to your ground to get to a sniping spot!

move if you was stalking very slowly .as these critters can here vibration of a size 12" a long distance.

move if you was stalking very slowly .as these critters can here vibration of a size 12" a long distance.

if you ever get the chance to witness the thumper! as i did again Sunday

what they do is thump there back feet/paws on the ground to warn the others there is danger!

 

so whilst your lining up that shot watch what your bunny doo's, it pays to some times watch your prey before taking it !

 

not trying to tell you how to suck egg's or any thing

Even if i had shot the one doing the thumping it would have been a bonus .

You wasn't on your own drawing a blank at the weekend. As our friend davyt pointed out the only shots I managed were with a camera LOL
