hi all, been following recent thread, from recent conversations i recall a guy on the wirral runs a couple of dogs going directly back to blue, heard they were superb especially pre ban ! anyone know him or any one else heard the same? does he still run them?

what a coincidence, dont know him personally he had permission in my area, local farmers tell about him. wots his dog like ?

he's a big strong dog,used to go out with him when it was a pup,took a lot of stuff with him but he must be near ten now and almost retired,I've been on a lot of that permission you talk about as mine border's it as well,its not right to talk about another mans dog's but I will say he would'nt keep a jacker and knows his stuff where dogs are concerned,he's kept that cross a long time and worked them hard in decent company,he has had at least three generations of minshaw that I recall,the famous jb's first minshaw cross came off his old dog blue and my mates whippet/greyhound,atb,wirralman

i know of a chap wth half minshaw stuff on wirral maybe the same man in question, as far as i know, will never breed off his dog as it wasnt up to his standard and had really poor feet, could be differnt people! but the chap i know defo would not use this dog for stud

small world isnt it ? think your probly on about same guy, confused with wirralman he must be on about another person, maybee another minshaw iposter !

check out photo on my profile, took it whilst pigeon shooting on a spud farm, i was really takin with this dog, cant remember what he called it, only seen it briefly, i think this was the minshaw lad my farmer friend knew.will try and get farmer to get in touch with him see if he does put it out to stud,see exactly what its breeding is ?

if its the dog im thinking it is called stan, and indeed caught some gear in his day, but had some bad traits, like bad feet, which was a big draw back for the dog, and owner openly admitts this,

it is a very small world indeed, he is a strong dog, and a ver aggresvie one at that. but as wirral countryman said the dog is now semi retired

yes,busher and dazz it is jim barker,he got the dog as an adult from robby platt after his brother(graham platt) got divorced and needed to re-home his dogs.I don't remember it being anything special but graham never got out much.Dog and shaggydog,you will not remember that dog as a youngster,I don't recall its feet being that bad back then,as a retired dog now its feet are poor,but so are mine,as I'm sure your's will be when your an old fart like me,NO he's not a stud dog but was offered to line my bitch as a favour if I wanted,I've got a few good dogs to choose from so I am not in any hurry to decide yet,atb,wirralman

am a bit lost here'but it could be me'' but i only no ov one minshaw dog j.b has owned and ran' n that is the bitch he has now..lass witch he breed is first pups from.. n this bitch and its brother thats here to'' was breed n bought from the lakes..ATB
