well everyone i am pleased to say she passed the field test

hi ya everyone

well this is it i started to get ready for 17.00hrs by 17.15hrs i was on my way well i got too the golf course for 1730hrs got the falcon out and went for a walk to my place where i have a small hill to where i shoot from on the way i came across my first woodie thawck missed try my zero i did that one form ? so carried on walking until i came across the thick hedges where i know rabbits sit in the sun lifted the falcon very slowly and thawck missed again not happy at all what is wrong with me ? snappy trigger finger so i thought well i have shot twice now and missed not happy so off i went sulking but got my self settled in for a bit thinking can i get used to the falcon ? when the little rabbit turned up face on to me i had already sorted the falcon out but needed to setle myself i took a deep breath and slowly released and down she went not even a twich but a full back flip and a waved go bye then as she was still saying her last goodbyes her blood brother turned up to there funeral bye bye rugby rabbits helloooo falcon and then just as i got up another little rabbit came out a bit closer to the rest but the falcon solved that to a drip under and away she went to bunny heaven after that i didnt see anything just the 3 little rabbit tonight but hey the falcon proved one thing to me tonight that she was ready and passed her field test in flying colours tonight well got some pictures here for you all to see one of them is the sand banks that the rabbits do like to play in one of me falcon looking very nice and a few more i hope again i aint bored you all here are the pictures

It just goes to show, its all about the calm shots! Ive had it before when ive missed everything in sight, and yet the next day ive got 3 bunnies with 3 pellets. The gun cant have changed, so its all be down to my shooting. Sometimes you rush shots, other times you take your time and bang! result!

 

Excellent work tho! And golf course looks like a good permission! I pass one on the way home from work atm and ive noticed loads of bunnies running around, so i might see if they need someone to sort them out myself!

nice goin shay, and a good write up too mate. glad you got past the old wedding night with summat for the pot, it took me a day to settle into my r10 after shooting the rapid all summer but boy it was worth it...glad youre having fun mate, i went out with a couple of mates and helped em get their first rabbits tonight, i'll do a post tomorrow about it

yeah im ok! been on AAOC a Lot lately! because i don't swear! a Lot

and just too add chaz & i have just got another golf course,it took us 2 1/2 hours to walk it the other night for a recky! and chaz,andyz,and i are gunna visit Thursday for a spot of lamping!

 

already sorted out the sniping positions but the wind is are biggest problem! let hope its a still night ,and we can get some BBQ food for the meet this week end!

this one is the same long old walk aint they and i know what you mean about wind buddy because tonight got a little windy and i had to change sides just so i could see made my eyes water and couldnt see through the scope lol but glad i managed to get the falcon through the test though cracking gun and is it this weekend that came around quick and no i know davy mate you are such a good boy lol aint heard from gary in a while either mind you we are starting to get busy now in the pest control side of things and hows the night scope coming on ?

the night scopecam is pants with me other lamps unless i have the red filter on it! but defeats the objective! so gonna try me cluson with a IR filter on it

which with a test run looks promising ,but just hope the camcorder is up to it!

 

falling that i will be getting the new HW100 in June? and i will put me dedicated VOMZ night vision scope on that ! and try and find an adapter to do some footage that way?

yeah only the 3 this time but i was only there for a couple of hrs so i didnt really get settled in so to speak but it was to give the falcon a good test as well so she passed with flying colours and you wont regret the prosport matey she is a top class springer buddy you should have her in the morning ?
