scent 509
IMO without a doubt a fox. At this time of year meat eaten at the kill is brought back to the earth is regurgatated for the cubs. The head and tail missing is the call card. I doubt a badger would catch a healthy lamb that's more than a few days old. Also when the badger eats from the head down he peels back the skin, similar to the way you'd eat a banana. This lambs neck skin is removed. A large cat would have killed a lamb by catching it across the back. That lamb has no damage done on the sides. It's only on large game they need to take a throat hold. A large cat would have killed a lamb by catching it across the back ...............how many large cats have you actually seen first hand killing lambs

PeakOil 352
Cats are very callable - Has anyone tried calling for the mystery panther? If it existed it would have been shot by now. It makes too much of a good pub/red top story to go away. who would shoot it as i only know one person that has big cats on his firearms and that aint in this country. the shit will hit the fan id imagine if one was shot?? I might be, and probably are totally wrong but on my open FAC it states in clause 7 that i can use my rifles for d.) the shooting of animals for the protection of other animals or humans. I know if i was in a field and if i came across a panther looking at me and licking its lips i would shoot first, then argue legalities later! .177 or .22?

BIG DIG 0
IT looks like pretty much like badger damage, had a few lambs on the fields in the morning without heads. only very young lambs also had there bellies pulled out. A fox would take lambs back to earth
