i dont know how true this is there ment to be a wild panther in a village in cheshire near me alot of people say they have seen it including one of my mates he is not the sort of person that makes things up could it be some thing like that but if so were would something like that come from :hmm: :hmm: :hmm:

thats what i meant with "cat" bud. if this was the work of a cat then the carcass should be covered over with grass/sticks. i've not had any experiance of lynx kills(harz mountains,bavarian forest) but have heard from people who have.if the skin is removed there should be a clear killing bite to the throat and only claw marks in the skin around the body,whereas a dog will bite all over place and the whole skin will be badly bruised.

 

its not uncommon for fox to take the head if the quarry is too big to carry("a few days old and strong") i though i would go for something more unlikly.

there are reports of black cats by shrewsbury and around telford too.

 

there are all kinds of reasons for the cats being here(zoo escapes,pets etc) they are all over the place and very secretive in their habits and so seldom seen(it took years to find a paw print on dartmoor).

Dont know about that.

If anything it could be the rarely seen honey badger...a threat not to be taken lightly.

Badger work through and through.. when paeople say "brock#" they mean badger when they say "pig" they mean badger. sorry guys just know that there will be people thinking what the feck are they on about. lol... thought i'd explain...

Abig cat would also carry the lamb away with it. Stash it in a bush, where it can feed up on it without being disturbed....when i come across full grown sheep riped clean in half, then i suspect a cat(panther) not a few week old lamb.... its the work of a black and white..

The Chupacabra or Chupacabras (pronunciation: /tʃupaˈkabɾa/, from the Spanish words chupar, meaning "to suck", and cabra, meaning "goat"; literally "goat sucker"), also called El Chupacabras in Spanish, is a legendary cryptid rumored to inhabit parts of the Americas. It is associated more recently with sightings of an allegedly unknown animal in Puerto Rico (where these sightings were first reported), Mexico, and the United States, especially in the latter's Latin American communities.[1] The name comes from the animal's reported habit of attacking and drinking the blood of livestock, especially goats. Physical descriptions of the creature vary. Eyewitness sightings have been claimed as early as 1990 in Puerto Rico, and have since been reported as far north as Maine, and as far south as Chile.

 

The first reported attacks occurred in March 1995 in Puerto Rico.[3] In this attack, eight sheep were discovered dead, each with three puncture wounds in the chest area and completely drained of blood.[3] A few months later, in August, an eyewitness, Madelyne Tolentino, reported seeing the creature in the Puerto Rican town of Canóvanas, when as many as 150 farm animals and pets were reportedly killed.[3] In 1975, similar killings in the small town of Moca, were attributed to El Vampiro de Moca (The Vampire of Moca).[4] Initially it was suspected that the killings were committed by a Satanic cult; later more killings were reported around the island, and many farms reported loss of animal life. Each of the animals had their bodies bled dry through a series of small circular incisions.

 

In April 2006, MosNews reported that the chupacabra was spotted in Russia for the first time. Reports from Central Russia beginning in March 2005 tell of a beast that kills animals and sucks out their blood. Thirty-two turkeys were killed and drained overnight. Reports later came from neighboring villages when 30 sheep were killed and had their blood drained. Finally, eyewitnesses were able to describe the chupacabra. In May 2006, experts were determined to track the animal down.

 

On January 11, 2008, a sighting was reported at the province of Capiz in the Philippines. Some of the residents from the barangay believed that it was the chupacabra that killed eight chickens. The owner of the chickens saw a dog-like animal attacking his chickens.[14]

 

On August 8, 2008, a DeWitt County deputy, Brandon Riedel, filmed an unidentifiable animal along back roads near Cuero, Texas on his dashboard camera.[15] The animal was about the size of a coyote but was hairless with a long snout, short front legs and long back legs.
