stroller 341
every year we breed from one jill and over the past 2 years the jills have become very aggressive after having a litter? The kits have been sold and the normally tame and well handled ferret has become nasty. i have re homed both jills and they have still continued to be little b*****ds with their new owners. This year i have just mated a little corker of a silver ferret, and i intend to handle her every day up until her last week of pregnancy. then just leave her alone its her first litter so i dont want to stress her out. i dont want to have her turn into a biter as she is a superb worker any ideas lads and lasses?? anything i should do that i havent? anything i havent done that i should?? She is housed in a 7'x 3'x3' court with a small kennel stuffed with bedding she is by herself as i have rehomed her sisters who were pretty mediocre workers. Quote Link to post
The one 8,463
Some ferrets can get protective when they have kitts but i find they soon settle down as the litter gets older ,Think if the jills still nippy you need to go back to feeding her handling her feeding her handling her .As what use is a nippy ferret if you have to put you hand past it in a dead end to extract a rabbit ??
