i need good nose dog for pick up all from field, rabbit,goose,feasnt & must fin deer in long grass. which is bes for me. I have shoot frind he say germandog call munster. what you think? maybe black labrodor, which bes ? thanks

Go for the lab' mate and you wont be dissapointed. Get a young dog and put in the training time and it will do all your after. Dont know much of the munsterlander(not sure if that is correct), i know a guy who has 1 and its a good strong looking dog but its a bit aggresive in the picking up( snatching from other dogs) I'm not saying that is a trait to that breed its just thats the 1 i know.

there are two types of muensterlaender small and big.

the big ms is a colour type of the german long haired pointer(deutsch langhaar) and not from muenster at all

they are ALWAYS black and white.

 

the small ms is very much like our liver and white springer(undocked) and can be almost as big as the big ms.

ALOT of energy and they will work all day.

he is a pointer too and a pleasure see work

they are always liver and white.

 

 

both of these dogs will do the job you describe mate(as will the other hpr). if you want a laid back dog in the house and a pure retriever (not that the lab cant do other things too)i would go for the lab( i find them very biddable an d a pleasure to have around)

Yes this is dog he chat about, a munsterlander, black & white look like pointer dog , like you say. I in field many day ,any dog i choose ,get lots of work & train very good. In army many soldier friend use labrdor for smell explosiv etc, lab is very good nose.

maybe this is dog i need. Thank you all, you very good help.

Lab, spaniel or GWP wouls all do a good job for you mate.
